# Business Case

The justification for an initiative, setting out its costs, expected benefits, risks, and ROI to support an approval decision.

A business case makes the argument for investing in a piece of work: the problem or opportunity, the proposed approach, the costs and expected benefits, and the return on investment. It is the basis on which initiatives are approved and prioritized.

Integrating financials, ROI scoring, approval workflows, and auditability into the business case is what lets organizations fast-track sound decisions while keeping a defensible record of why work was funded.
