# Enterprise Orchestration

The coordinated management of people, processes, data, and tools across an organization so that work happening in many places advances a single strategic plan.

Enterprise orchestration connects planning, prioritization, execution, and benefits realization across teams and systems — keeping governance, dependencies, and KPIs synchronized where work would otherwise fragment into disconnected tools. It is the mechanism underneath strategy execution: a strategy execution platform applies enterprise orchestration to close the gap between what leadership decides and what the organization delivers. Conductor was historically described as an enterprise orchestration platform; the two terms describe the same capability from different angles — orchestration names *how* the work is coordinated, strategy execution names *what* the coordination achieves.
