M&A IntegrationM&A

The program of work that combines two organizations after a merger or acquisition to capture the deal’s intended value.

M&A integration (post-merger integration) is the effort to bring two companies together — people, processes, systems, and culture — so the combined entity delivers the synergies the deal was based on. It is usually run by an integration management office as a large, time-boxed program.

Because synergy targets are financial and closely watched, integration relies on tight orchestration, governance, and benefits tracking to prove the value is being realized on schedule.
