A program is a collection of related projects, workstreams, and activities managed together to deliver a strategic outcome. Program management coordinates their scope, schedules, dependencies, risks, and benefits so the whole delivers more than the sum of its parts.
It sits between project management (the delivery of individual efforts) and portfolio management (the selection and balancing of investments), and is central to running transformations, integrations, and other large change initiatives.
